primary school CYBER SAFETY SHOW

Presenting

"Reboot's Cyber Safety Show"

Cyber Safety Show Overview:

Our puppets have embarked on a new journey into cyberspace! In this show our puppets Calvin and Bruce meet Reboot, a robot who serves as a digital assistant. Reboot presents different scenarios using puppets to teach students about digital safety. Rob and Chris guide the puppets and Reboot through each situation.

The show covers topics such as taking breaks from screen time, not sharing personal information online, telling a trusted adult if something doesn't feel right online, and managing passwords. Students also learn that it is important to treat everyone with the same respect and kindness they would like for themselves, whether in the virtual world or the real world.

The "Wheel of Cybersafety" is a game show segment within the show where contestants spin a wheel and answer questions about online safety given by a fictional character named Robbie Robertson. Calvin, the puppet contestant, is asked five questions about cyber safety, and if he answers correctly, he wins. If he makes a mistake, an audience member gets a chance to answer the question. The questions review topics covered in the show.

This fast-paced puppet show is an engaging opportunity to teach students the importance of staying safe online and encourages them to make wise choices when using technology.

We have also written some lesson plans and activity shows to be used after the show as a follow-up.
